I have never enjoyed anything I have read by Ernest Hemingway. I had never read To Have and Have Not. I read it today. I have never enjoyed anything I have read by Ernest Hemingway.
I did enjoy an article I read in an April edition of the “New Yorker” by Daniel Mendelsohn on Herodotus, and an article in this month’s “Atlantic Times” on German art at the St. Louis Art Museum.
And I got a haircut, being surprised when I went into my normally busy barber shop about 1 p.m. and found myself the only customer. It must have been a fluke, because twenty minutes later, as I got out of the barber chair, all six barbers were busy and another seven were waiting for a haircut.
Other than that, I took a walk to get a bagel and coffee for breakfast, I went to the gym, and I went to Shanghai Garden for a carryout dinner. And I worked from home.
