Update on Security at HUD and an Erratum

I know you all remember my posting this summer talking about the excessive security placed upon visitors to the HUD building.

Although I am sure that I cannot take credit for it, I want to report that the security requirements have now been lessoned.  Now that they are experienced with the camera and the personalized badges, they no longer hold your picture ID downstairs, and they no longer require that an escort come down to make sure you don’t get off the elevator at the wrong floor.  You are now free roam about the country.

I need to make one more correction.  I had previously said that the downtown Victoria’s Secret was closing, and assumed it to be a sign of the economic times.  In fact, although it was obviouslyla secret, the Secret was only being remodeled, and will reopen soon.
