A Kremenets Reunion (6 cents)

My wife’s father came from Kremenets, a medium size town then Polish, and now in the Ukraine. He came to the United States in 1939, only a few months before the Germans invaded Poland.

Our friend Zvi’s father also came from Kremenets, as did our friend Trudy’s father.

Saturday night, the three couples got together for a wonderful dinner at our house, and conversation about family, and about Kremenets, looking at all of the photos my father in law brought with him, and being saddened not only by what befell so many of the city’s residents, but by the fact that we don’t know who any of them (other than close family members) are.
